Easy Citrus Cake #1: Citrus Cranberry Cake

If you have any leftover cranberries from the holidays, this Citrus Cranberry Cake is the perfect way to use them! This cake is made up of citrus cake layers, cranberry compote, and citrus buttercream. The cake layers are a little more dense, similar to a pound cake, but don’t let that throw you because they are delicious nonetheless! This cake is a beautiful celebration of citrus flavors with a hint of orange throughout all the elements.

Easy Citrus Cake #2: Citrus Olive Oil Cake

easy citrus cake recipes from scratch

This Citrus Olive Oil Cake is a very simple and humble cake compared to the other ones I usually make. I made this one in honor of Christmas and Jesus’s birth, so I thought it was the best way to showcase the night of His birth! This cake is delicious on its own, but you can serve it with a drizzle of honey or whipped cream with a little ricotta or mascarpone in it. Check out my recipe for homemade ricotta HERE. (It’s SO much better than store-bought!)

Easy Citrus Cake #3: Chocolate Orange Cake

I feel like people either love or hate chocolate and orange together. I personally love making cakes with flavor combinations that are questionable because when you finally get the balance of flavors just right, it’s one of the best feelings! This Chocolate Orange Cake is one of my more popular recipes, so it must be worth a try! Besides, can you really go wrong with chocolate cake layers?

Easy Citrus Cake #4: Banana Lemon Cream Cake

This Banana Lemon Cream Cake with caramel sauce is one of my newer recipes and it is AMAZING! I know, banana and lemon together aren’t the typical flavor combination you hear of. But, you guys, this cake is seriously so good. And if you read the original post with the recipe you’ll see what inspired this cake recipe! This cake doesn’t require a ton of lemon, so this isn’t a full-on citrus cake, so if you’re looking for recipes where lemon is the star of the show, check out this post HERE!

Easy Citrus Cake #5: Grapefruit Poppy Seed Cake

My Grapefruit Poppy Seed Cake is such a fun recipe to try. I’ve made several updates to this one to ensure you get nice moist cake layers without sacrificing the beautiful white layers or the flavor of the cake. It’s made up of fluffy poppy seed cake layers, grapefruit curd, and cream cheese frosting. Yum! I think I need to go whip this one up right now!
