Ingredients

  • 2 large honey crisp apples, or other apple of your choosing
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold
  • 3/4 cups gluten free or regular old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 3 tablespoons golden monkfruit
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup, plus more for drizzling on the apples
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus a little more for sprinkling on the apples

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In a medium size mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients. Use a pastry cutter to cut into the butter to mix the ingredients create a crumble-like texture.
  • Cut the apples, into four half-inch sections by placing the apples on their side and cutting across the width of the apple. You should have 8 slices between the two large apples.
  • Place the apples on the baking sheet. Sprinkle each apple with a little cinnamon and drizzle lightly with maple syrup.
  • Put about 3 tablespoons of the crumble on each apple.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  • Remove the pan from the oven and allow the apples to cool slightly before serving.
